Everton are reportedly poised to sign Robert Huth if he refuses to sign a new contract at Stoke City.

Everton are said to be interested in signing Stoke City defender Robert Huth.

The 27-year-old German is out of contract in 12 months time and has, so far, refused to commit to a new deal at the Britannia Stadium.

Potters boss Tony Pulis is "desperate" for Huth to remain in Staffordshire, however the club will reportedly cash in on the player this summer if he fails to extend his current contract.

Everton manager David Moyes is looking to bolster his defensive options ahead of next season and is hopeful of bringing Huth to Goodison Park for a modest transfer fee, according to the Daily Mail.

Huth has made 101 Premier League appearances for Stoke since joining from Middlesbrough in 2009.
