Everton will extend their unbeaten Premier League start to six games if they beat Newcastle United on Monday night.
Roberto Martinez's men began with three draws but have won their last two and are the only team still unbeaten in the top flight. Victory over Alan Pardew's Magpies on Monday will see them move into the top four of the table.
Martinez may have to shake up his midfield if Leon Osman fails to get fit in time, with Darron Gibson his most likely replacement.
Romelu Lukaku may also earn a start after scoring the winner on his debut for the Toffees at West Ham last week.
Pardew has a similar midfield problem as Yohan Cabaye is doubtful with a groin injury suffered in last week's defeat to Hull.
If the Frenchman does not pass his fitness test, then both Vurnon Anita and Cheick Tiote could start.
Both sides were in Capital One Cup action in midweek as Everton were knocked out by Fulham, while Newcastle progressed with a comfortable victory over Leeds.
Last time the pair met, Everton took the points in January. Leighton Baines, who scored two free kicks last week, did the same in that game and netted in both matches between the sides last season.
