England boss Fabio Capello announces that John Terry is included in the squad for the friendlies against Spain and Sweden.

England manager Fabio Capello has announced that captain John Terry will be included in his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden.

There had been doubts over whether the defender would feature after the recent racism row with Anton Ferdinand.

Allegations made by the QPR defender are currently being investigated by the Football Association and the Metropolitan Police.

"He will be in the final squad," said Capello. "Everyone spoke about John Terry and we decided on this. Yesterday I met him (Terry) personally, I spoke to him.

"We need to wait for what will happen about the FA investigation and the police investigation but I can tell you he is innocent until proven guilty.

"This is a really important thing - for me and the FA. For this reason I select him."

England take on Spain next Saturday before a match against Sweden three days later.
