England manager Roy Hodgson admits that he is considering taking advice from psychologists in an attempt to improve England's success in penalty shootouts.

England manager Roy Hodgson has insisted that he will "not dismiss anything" as he looks to improve his side's luck in penalty shootouts.

Italy defeated England on penalties to eliminate them from Euro 2012 and after winning just one penalty shootout in a major competition, Hodgson has acknowledged that England need to improve their success rate from the spot.

Hodgson told The Mirror: "Of course you get players to practise. We practise as much as any other team. There are lots of things to think about.

"We are involved at the moment, reviewing if there is more things we can do. I have not closed any doors. Every day you get ideas from psychologists, people who believe it is all in the mind.

"So, as a result, we do not dismiss anything."

Hodgson recently lost his first match in charge of England as they were defeated 4-2 by Sweden.
