UEFA begin disciplinary proceedings against FA

UEFA announce disciplinary proceedings against the Football Association regarding the behaviour of fans during England supporters against Sweden.

UEFA have opened up disciplinary proceedings against the Football Association regarding the behaviour of fans during England's 3-2 win over Sweden on Friday evening.

It has been reported that a number of England supporters attempted to invade the pitch in Kiev following Danny Welbeck's winning strike.

As a result, the governing body have announced that an investigation into the incident will now take place.

"UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Football Association of England for the inappropriate behaviour of their supporters - attempted invasion of the field of play - at the UEFA EURO 2012 Group D match against Sweden in Kyiv on Friday," read a statement from UEFA.
