The Doncaster Rovers board have expressed their confidence in Paul Dickov to continue to lead the club despite yesterday's relegation to League One.
Donny started the final day of the season outside of the bottom three but were relegated in cruel circumstances when Birmingham City scored a last-gasp equaliser against Bolton Wanderers to draw level on points with Rovers, who lost at champions Leicester City and went down because of their inferior goal difference.
"The owners still feel Paul Dickov is the right man for Doncaster Rovers and while this season hasn't achieved our objectives, the owners are confident he can return us to the Championship at the first attempt," chief executive Gavin Baldwin told the club's official website.
Baldwin also felt that the club was in a much better position than when they were last relegated two years ago and achieved instant promotion back to the second tier.
