Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has turned to Fiorentina ace Khouma Babacar in his search for a new striker, according to a report.
The Eagles have prioritised bringing in a new forward player this month and are also rumoured to be close to capturing Diafra Sakho from West Ham United.
Babacar, capped by Senegal for the first time last year, has netted 14 times for Fiorentina since the beginning of last season.
Hodgson is said to be a fan of the 24-year-old, and Sky Sports News suggests that an undisclosed sum has already been offered to Fiorentina.
Palace currently have Christian Benteke on their books, but the former Aston Villa and Liverpool man has one goal in 16 games this term.
