Bournemouth are without Adam Smith for this afternoon's trip to Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth are without Adam Smith for this afternoon's trip to Crystal Palace.

The defender is forced to miss today's match at Selhurst Park after picking up his fifth booking of the season in last Sunday's 1-1 stalemate with Southampton.

Steve Cook replaces Smith in Eddie Howe's only change to the previous starting lineup.

The hosts, meanwhile, make three changes from the side that played out a goalless draw against West Bromwich Albion last time out.

Yohan Cabaye returns to fitness to start, with James Tomkins and Timothy Fosu-Mensah also coming in. James McArthur, Martin Kelly and the groin injury-afflicted Joel Ward are the men to make way.

Wayne Hennessey is available following back spasms, but fails to dislodge Julian Speroni from between the sticks.

Crystal Palace: Speroni; Fosu-Mensah, Tomkins, Sakho, Schlupp; Loftus-Cheek, Cabaye, Townsend, Milivojevic; Zaha, Benteke
Subs: Hennessey, Van Aanholt, Dann, McArthur, Sako, Kelly, Puncheon

Bournemouth: Begovic; Francis, S. Cook, Ake, Daniels;Stanislas, L. Cook, Surman, Fraser; King; Defoe
Subs: Boruc, Gosling, Arter, Afobe, Wilson, Ibe, Simpson
