Atletico Madrid must reportedly pay £50m for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata or Chelsea will recall him from his loan.

Chelsea have reportedly told Atletico Madrid that they must pay £50m if they want to keep Alvaro Morata for another season.

The Spanish striker linked up with Atletico on an 18-month loan deal in January and featured 15 times in the second half of the 2018-19 La Liga campaign.

According to The Telegraph, however, Chelsea have the option to recall Morata this summer if Los Rojiblancos do not agree to make the move permanent in a year's time.

Atleti may struggle to raise the funds required, it is claimed, as they are about to sign Joao Felix from Benfica for £112.9m.

Morata scored six goals for the Spanish side last season and has previously admitted that he is not interested in a return to parent club Chelsea.
