Jonas Hofmann hints at interest from Chelsea

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Jonas Hofmann hints that a reunion with former boss Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea could happen this summer.

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Jonas Hofmann has hinted that a reunion with former boss Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea could happen this summer.

The German was previously coached by his compatriot at Borussia Dortmund between 2015 and 2017, and Tuchel is understood to be keen on working with the 28-year-old once again.

Hofmann, who is allegedly keen on a fresh challenge after five years at Gladbach, has not given too much away but hinted at a possible exit in the upcoming market.

"Basically, I feel good at Borussia, I've always emphasised that. It may be that one or the other club has expressed its interest," the Germany international told Ruhr Nachrichten.

"Nevertheless, for me, the absolute focus is on having a successful season with Borussia and dedicating myself fully to success. I put my personal situation under it.

"I think it's clear that other clubs will notice you if you perform well. Therefore, it is possible that one or the other has already asked."

Hofmann has made 25 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists.
