Quotes attributed to Didier Drogba saying that he is leaving Chelsea are false, according to the player's representatives.

Didier Drogba's representatives have moved to clarify that quotes signalling the end of the striker's Chelsea career did not come from him.

According to France Football, the 34-year-old said that he will not be at the Blues come next season.

However, representatives for the Ivorian, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2004, have now said that the quotes did not come from him.

Drogba, who is out of contract this summer, was reported to be entering talks with Chelsea following Saturday's Champions League drama.

He has been linked with a move to Shanghai Shenhua, which would see him link up with former Chelsea team-mate Nicolas Anelka.
