Ashley Cole arrives in Italy to finalise Roma move

Former England defender Ashley Cole arrives in Italy to discuss a potential move to Roma.

Former England international Ashley Cole has arrived in Italy ahead of his protracted move to Roma.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after being released by Premier League side Chelsea at the end of last season.

Reports suggested last night that Cole will meet with club officials to finalise a two-year deal.

The Serie A side have posted a picture of Cole arriving in Rome on their official Twitter account this morning.

Cole spent eight years at Chelsea after joining from Arsenal in 2006.
