Monaco defender Fode Ballo-Toure has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Chelsea.
The left-sided player, who represented France at European Under-21 Championship last summer, made 21 appearances this season before the coronavirus pandemic led to Ligue 1's cancellation.
While Ballo-Toure has been a regular in the first team, Monaco, like many French clubs, find themselves in a position where they may have to make player sales in order to balance the books.
According to Footmercato, this has led to Chelsea identifying the 23-year-old as a possible target ahead of the next window.
Should Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri depart Stamford Bridge, Ballo-Toure would act as a like-for-like replacement.
The player still has over three years left on his contract, providing Monaco with some leeway when it comes to demanding a significant fee.
