Chelsea 'keeping track of Tottenham Hotspur's Vlad Chiriches'

Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches is being tracked by Chelsea, according to the player's agent.

The agent of Tottenham Hotspur's summer signing Vlad Chiriches has revealed that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the defender.

Victor Becali has claimed that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen on the 23-year-old, who moved to White Hart Lane from Steaua Bucuresti for a reported £8.5m.

"If he has one or two good seasons at Tottenham, Chelsea will be willing to pay a large sum to buy Chiriches," Becali told Sport.ro. "Mourinho says he has been aware of him since he was at Real Madrid."

Chiriches made his debut for Spurs in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup after finally being granted a work permit.
