Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly making a late swoop to sign Real Madrid target Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.
Monaco sporting director Paul Mitchell has previously confirmed that Tchouameni will depart the club in the summer following two-and-a-half years in the principality.
Previous reports suggested that Real Madrid had won the race to sign the midfielder despite interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
However, there could still be a twist, with Goal reporting that PSG and Chelsea could make late bids for the France international.
Kylian Mbappe, who has recently turned down Real Madrid in favour of a new three-year contract with PSG, has reportedly encouraged his side to chase down the signature of Tchouameni.
Former Monaco director of football Luis Campos has played a pivotal role in discussions between Monaco and Real Madrid, but with Campos set to join PSG as their new sporting director, he may try to persuade Tchouameni to remain in Ligue 1.
Chelsea could also make a move for Tchouameni, with the Blues showing an interest, however, any potential deal would have to wait until the takeover of their club is confirmed.
