Chelsea reportedly have the option to match Manchester City's bid for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake in the coming days.
While a buy-back clause in the contract of their former player has been well documented in the past, it has previously been claimed that the option expired in January.
However, according to The Mirror, the Blues have a small window of opportunity to equal City's £41m offer, which has already been accepted by the Cherries.
Despite that possibility, it appears that Ake has his sights set on making the switch to the Etihad Stadium to work under Pep Guardiola.
After their relegation from the Premier League, Bournemouth are keen to recoup funds from the sale of the 25-year-old, who has starred on the South Coast since June 2017.
