Chelsea close to sealing deal for Barcelona winger Pedro?

Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly close to sealing a deal to sign Barcelona winger Pedro for a fee thought to be in the region of £22m.

Chelsea are reportedly due to seal the capture of Barcelona winger Pedro next week.

The current board at Barcelona is barred from signing off any transfers, but the Daily Star suggests that the Blues are prepared to meet the Spaniard's reported £22m buy-out clause should progress be made at Barca's presidential elections this weekend.

Pedro has been battling it out for playing time in Catalonia since the rise of Barcelona's new front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Chelsea have already made two signings this summer in the loan arrival of Radamel Falcao and the permanent transfer of keeper Asmir Begovic.
