Sunday's Premier League predictions including Chelsea vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Premier League matches, including Chelsea vs. Liverpool.

Southampton vs. Spurs (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur square off at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon having both suffered defeat on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.

A day after the Saints succumbed by a 1-0 scoreline at Crystal Palace, Spurs suffered the same fate at home to Everton.

We say: Southampton 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Given the short turnaround, most Spurs supporters will not necessarily expect much from their side when they take to the pitch this weekend. However, they have the quality within their ranks to claim a share of the spoils against opposition who are not firing on all cylinders.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Brighton (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Newcastle United head into their Premier League encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion having begun the campaign with a 2-0 victory at West Ham United.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls make the long trip to St James' Park this weekend on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to big-spending Chelsea.

We say: Newcastle United 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

Although the form book points to the Magpies registering a third straight win in just over a week, we fancy Brighton to respond to their opening setback. Potter's style of play may be more suited to away matches, and the visitors have enough quality in their side to edge out their in-form hosts.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Chelsea vs. Liverpool (Sunday, 4.30pm)

The standout fixture in the second gameweek of the new Premier League season sees champions Liverpool visit Stamford Bridge to take on rivals Chelsea.

Both teams made winning starts to their 2020-21 campaigns, with Chelsea overcoming Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool squeezing past newly-promoted Leeds United in a seven-goal thriller.

We say: Chelsea 2-2 Liverpool

This promises to be a fascinating contest. Chelsea are still something of an unknown entity with their new arrivals bedding in and working their way up to fitness, but they certainly have the firepower to hurt Liverpool if the visitors' defence is leaky again.Klopp's side have comparable firepower and more, though, and a more characteristic defensive display could be enough for them to take all three points from this match.Goals should hopefully flow whatever happens, and we cannot split the two teams in what we expect to be an entertaining draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Leicester vs. Burnley (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Burnley get their 2020-21 Premier League campaign off to a belated start when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The Foxes opened their season up with a comfortable victory at West Bromwich Albion, whereas Burnley have been forced to wait to get underway after their opening-day showdown with Manchester United was postponed.

We say: Leicester City 2-1 Burnley

You have to go back to 1968 for Burnley's last top-flight away win over Leicester, and we do not see that run ending this weekend. The Clarets will put up a good fight, as they always do, but Leicester should have too much for a side who are missing some key players. Four of the past five meetings between these two sides have ended 2-1, including each of the last three, and we can see the same happening again on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
