Peter Stoger has thanked his scouting department for making Michy Batshuayi's loan move from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund possible.
The 24-year-old has made a big impact in his first fortnight at the Westfalenstadion, netting two more goals against Atalanta on Thursday night to make it five in three games.
Batshuayi has hinted that he could remain with Dortmund permanently after growing restless at Chelsea, and Stoger is not concerned about facing potential competition from rivals clubs for the Belgian's signature.
"If he had missed those chances [against Atalanta] we would have bigger problems," he told reporters when asked about the striker's increasing valuation. "Nobody should thank me for getting Batshuayi to Dortmund. The plaudits go to our scouting department."
Batshuayi started a combined four Premier League games in 18 months for Chelsea prior to being loaned out at the end of January.
