Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin has said that only current world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo and former winner Lionel Messi are better than Eden Hazard.
The Belgian was named the club's Player of the Year last season, and has scored five goals in 17 appearances so far this season.
The former Scotland international told Goal.com: "I've been a huge fan of Hazard since he joined Chelsea, but he's getting better and better. He is at that level just below Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but I believe the only thing missing from his game is more goals.
"He's still young and he has time to develop his prowess in front of goal. What has particularly impressed me is that he is getting more involved in games after his boss said a few choice words about his work-rate last season.
"Mourinho accepts nothing less than the absolute best and he knew there was more to come from Hazard. Credit to Hazard, he took that on board."
Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012.
