Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to give Premier League winners' medal to his son

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reveals that he will give his Premier League winners' medal to his son as opposed to throwing it into the crowd like he did back in 2006.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will give his Premier League winners' medal to his 15-year-old son.

The Portuguese coach famously threw his medal into a crowd of Chelsea fans at Stamford Bride when the Blues won the title back in 2006.

The triumph nine years ago was Chelsea's second successive league win and Mourinho's last with the Blues until this campaign.

When asked in this morning's press conference if he intends to make a similar gesture during Sunday's celebrations, Mourinho said that he will opt to give the medal to his son, who is collecting memorabilia, instead.

Chelsea's final game of the season is against Sunderland this weekend, but they wrapped up the title almost three weeks ago with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
