Everton are reportedly ready to offer manager David Moyes a significant payrise to ward off interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Everton are reportedly ready to offer manager David Moyes a significant payrise to ward off interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Blues chairman Bill Kenwright is willing to make the Scot one of the highest-paid coaches in European football to keep him at Goodison Park, The Mirror reports.

Moyes has one year remaining on his current Everton deal, and has been named as the bookmakers' favourite to succeed Harry Redknapp at Spurs.

Other contenders for the hotseat include Wigan's Roberto Martinez, former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas and Jurgen Klinsmann.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is understood to be out of the country on other business until next week, and is planning to make an official approach for Moyes upon his return.

Levy relieved Redknapp of his duties on Wednesday evening (June 13).
