Ashley Cole and other senior Chelsea players will reportedly speak to police over the John Terry race row.

Ashley Cole has reportedly been ordered to speak to police investigating claims that John Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand during a match against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road last month.

The police have contacted Chelsea to ask that they do more to cooperate with the investigation, according to The Sun.

Chelsea then told Cole and a number of other senior players to speak to police about the incident.

"Police have been dismayed at the lack of evidence that has come from Chelsea," a source is quoted as saying.

"They have made it clear to the club that senior players who were out on the pitch have a responsibility to reveal what happened."

John Terry strongly denies the allegations, and has recently been named in the England squad for friendlies with Spain and Sweden.
