Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their proposed move to a new stadium after they lost the vote to regain the freehold of Stamford Bridge.
The Blues could only convince 62% of the Chelsea Pitch Owners shareholders to vote for the proposal, while a 75% approval rating was needed in today's meeting.
The decision is likely to be good news for a number of supporters who were opposed to the idea of relocating.
The vote has put a dent in the former Premier League champions' hopes of competing with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in terms of stadium revenue.
