Liverpool must put an end to their terrible recent record against Chelsea if they are to maintain their momentum and stay top of the Premier League this weekend.

The Reds have not won any of their last six top-flight matches against Sunday's opponents on home soil, and they also lost 2-1 there in September's EFL Cup tie.

Furthermore, Liverpool have only won twice in their last 16 meetings with Chelsea in all competitions (W6 D8), both of those defeats coming at Stamford Bridge.

This would be the perfect time for Jurgen Klopp's men to put that right, as they need to continue putting points on the board to keep the pressure on Manchester City, who they lead by two points after playing a game more.

Klopp has near enough a clean bill of health for the toughest of his side's remaining league fixtures, which is sandwiched between a Champions League quarter-final double-header against Porto.

Dejan Lovren was restored to the backline for the 2-0 first-leg win and may retain his place here, despite Joe Gomez - a regular in the first half of the season - being back in contention.

The back five and front three effectively pick themselves, with left-back Andrew Robertson returning from a European ban, but there is a big call to be made in central midfield.

Georginio Wijnaldum has gone off the boil over the past month, coinciding with Jordan Henderson's return to form. Naby Keita's Liverpool career has also taken off with goals in back-to-back games, so Wijnaldum and James Milner may have to watch on from the bench.

Up top, Roberto Firmino has scored seven goals in his last six Premier League home games for Liverpool, though he has only faced Manchester United (eight) and Everton (seven) more often than Chelsea (five) without finding the net in the top flight.
