Saturday's Scottish Premiership predictions including Celtic vs. Motherwell

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Scottish Premiership fixtures, including Celtic vs. Motherwell.

Hearts vs. Ross County (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Hearts will aim to end a five-match losing run in the Scottish Premiership when they welcome bottom-of-the-table Ross County to Tynecastle on Saturday.

Steven Naismith lost his first game as Hearts interim manager last weekend, falling to arch-rivals Hibernian, while Ross County suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen.

We say: Hearts 2-0 Ross County

Given that Ross County have managed to win just one of their last eight away league outings, Saturday's clash provides Hearts with the ideal opportunity to return to winning ways.

Having won six of their previous eight home matches in the Premiership – scoring at least three goals on five occasions during that period – Hearts look set to secure a much-needed victory this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Celtic vs. Motherwell (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Celtic will resume their seemingly unstoppable charge towards an 11th Scottish Premiership title in 12 seasons when Motherwell visit Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.

The champions elect find themselves 12 points clear of Rangers with six games remaining, while Motherwell occupy eighth place in the table – 55 points behind Celtic.

We say: Celtic 4-0 Motherwell

Averaging more than three goals per game in the league this season, Celtic look set to make light work of Motherwell, who have managed to keep just three clean sheets in their previous 19 Premiership encounters.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 3.5 goals.

Dundee Utd vs. Livingston (Saturday, 3.00pm)

With one game remaining until the Scottish Premiership splits into two sections, Livingston will aim to break into the top half when they take on relegation-threatened Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday.

Livingston moved to within a point of the top six after defeating St Johnstone last weekend, while Dundee United find themselves outside of the bottom two on goal difference, despite a run of two straight wins.

We say: Dundee United 1-0 Livingston

We expect Dundee United to continue their revival under Jim Goodwin by securing a third successive victory at the expense of Livingston, who are on course to suffer a fifth straight defeat on the road.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

St Johnstone vs. Hibernian (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Scottish Premiership strugglers St Johnstone will begin life under interim manager Steven MacLean when Hibernian visit McDiarmid Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints parted company with Callum Davidson following last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Livingston, while Hibs returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Hearts.

We say: St Johnstone 1-1 Hibernian

When you couple St Johnstone's woeful home record with Hibernian's poor away form, all the signs point towards a cagey stalemate at McDiarmid Park.

Steven MacLean will be eager to kick-start his spell as interim manager with a positive result in front of the Saints fans, but the new boss may have to settle for a point as Hibs look to cement a top-six berth.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

St Mirren vs. Kilmarnock (Saturday, 3.00pm)

On Saturday, St Mirren will welcome Kilmarnock to the SMISA Stadium in the final round of Scottish Premiership fixtures before the league splits in two.

The hosts, who occupy fifth position, are hoping to remain in the top half of the table, while Kilmarnock are languishing in 11th place.

We say: St Mirren 2-1 Kilmarnock

The previous two meetings between the two sides this season have finished in goalless draws, but we think that the hosts will claim a narrow victory over a Kilmarnock side who have lost 14 of their 16 away league games this season.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
