Celtic striker Anthony Stokes has revealed that he is enjoying being back in the Republic of Ireland setup.
The 25-year-old has recently made a return to the squad under new manager Martin O'Neill after falling out of favour with previous coach Giovanni Trapattoni.
Stokes now hopes that his form will see him called up for Ireland's friendly at home to Turkey on May 25.
"It's been great to get back involved in the Irish setup. I missed being involved and I got a couple of caps this year and started a good few games," he told The Herald.
"So it's been brilliant for me and something I am really enjoying and looking forward to when the squads are coming up because I know now I have a good chance, if my club form is going well, that I might get called up."
Stokes has scored 15 goals in 41 games for Celtic so far this season.
