Defender Kevin Long has signed a new three-year contract with Premier League outfit Burnley.
Long has been with the Clarets since the start of 2010 but during that time, the Republic of Ireland international has featured on just 31 occasions.
However, despite his lack of appearances, Long has extended his stay at Turf Moor until 2020 and he is hopeful of building on three starts in the top flight at the end of the last campaign.
The 26-year-old told the club's official website: "I am delighted. It's been going on for quite a while now so it's nice to get it signed and look forward to the next three years.
"It caps what's been a fabulous few months for me. Coming into the team at the end of last season was great and them to make my international debut for Ireland over the summer was a dream.
"Here at Burnley, we've secured another season in the Premier League, so this is a club going in the right direction and it's a pleasure to be a part of that."
During his time in England, Long has also spent time on loan at Accrington Stanley, Rochdale, Portsmouth, Barnsley and MK Dons.
