Burnley forward Ashley Barnes feels that his side finally got their reward for their good displays as they recorded their first win of the Premier League season yesterday.
Barnes scored the only goal of the game to fire the Clarets to a 1-0 victory over Hull City as he headed Kieran Trippier's cross past Steve Harper to end Sean Dyche's side's 10-game winless run in the top flight.
Barnes told the club's official website: "We've waited long enough for that and it was a great team performance today, we defended well and hung on in there at the end.
"I'm delighted with the goal, it's a great ball in from Tripps and I've managed to get my head on it and it's gone in. It's every boys dream to play in the Premier League and luckily enough I've had that chance today and got off the mark.
"It was an unbelievable ball in but we see that week in week out and it's unfortunate up until now we've not had the luck run for us but we've gone and done it today."
Burnley are still bottom of the Premier League, despite their win over the Tigers.
