Captain Karl Henry returns from suspension and he is joined in the side by Kevin Foley and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. Richard Stearman, Jermaine Pennant and David Davis are the ones to miss out.

For Bristol City, Ryan Taylor starts in attack after coming on in the second half against Brighton & Hove Albion, with Steven Davies dropping to the bench.
