Bristol City and Ipswich Town fail to trouble the scoresheet in the first half at Ashton Gate.

Daryl Murphy has scored for Ipswich Town to see them in front against Bristol City at the break at Ashton Gate.

There was very little between the two teams in the opening 20 minutes, with the visitors perhaps shading it on the balance of play.

Sam Baldock had the first real effort on goal, but saw his shot deflected wide. Cole Skuse's volley from the resulting corner then veered off target.

David McGoldrick fashioned Ipswich's first opportunity when he took the ball down on his chest, but he dragged his shot wide of Tom Heaton's goal.

The deadlock was broken by Murphy in the 30th minute, when he found the bottom corner from around 12 yards out.
