Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly decided to allow goalkeeper Christian Walton to spend another loan spell at Wigan Athletic.
Walton made a huge impact with the Latics last season, making 35 appearances in all competitions as the club won promotion from League One and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
However, the 22-year-old remains out of the first-team picture at the Amex Stadium, with the Seagulls having already brought in Jason Steele to act as backup to Mathew Ryan.
According to Sky Sports News, that has resulted in Brighton boss Chris Hughton giving the green light for Walton to spend a year playing Championship football with Wigan.
Walton has only made four first-team outings for Brighton, with loan periods being spent at five different clubs since 2015.
