Brighton beat Ipswich 3-0 in the Championship, lifting them up to seventh in the table.

Brighton & Hove Albion recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over Ipswich Town at the Amex Stadium this afternoon.

The visitors applied early pressure, looking to continue their recent good form, but it was the home side who took the lead after 20 minutes.

A long ball from Gordon Greer found Kazenga Lualua, who in turn played in Craig Mackail-Smith, leaving the Scotland international with an easy finish.

The Seagulls doubled their lead 20 minutes into the second half when Liam Bridcutt found Ashley Barnes, who cut inside before firing Brighton into a two-goal lead.

Any hopes of a late comeback for the Tractors were dashed when Brighton completed the scoring in the 88th minute. A great run and cross from Razak found Barnes, who netted his second of the game.

The result puts Brighton up to seventh place in the Championship level on points with Cardiff, although the Bluebirds have a game in hand.
