Mark Warburton praises Brentford players

Brentford boss Mark Warburton says that he is impressed with the way that his players have adapted to Championship football this season.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton has stated that he is impressed with the way that his players have adapted to Championship football.

The Bees, who came up from League One last season, currently sit third in the second tier following Saturday's 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Griffin Park.

Warburton has warned his players that they must not let their standards slip now.

"It's been a good run. The players have been outstanding and they've adapted to life in the Championship very well so it's a case of so far, so good," he told Sky Sports News.

"You just see what you can do week-in, week-out. We prepare well and the players have got the self-belief now - confidence is hugely important in this division and they've got that.

"I'm delighted for the supporters. There's a lot of confidence and self-belief but the message is very much we have to maintain focus and concentration because if they slip then we'll pay the price."

Brentford travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
