Matt Ritchie: 'Bournemouth promotion a dream come true'

Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie says that the club's impending promotion to the Premier League is a "dream come true".

Winger Matt Ritchie has said that the club's impending promotion to the Premier League is "a dream come true".

Ritchie scored the second goal as Bournemouth defeated Bolton Wanderers 3-0 to effectively guarantee their place in the Premier League next season.

"It's a dream come true for everyone," Ritchie told Sky Sport News. "Obviously the turnaround in the last couple of years has been unbelievable. I wouldn't have had a season like I've had without everyone supporting me."

Bournemouth nearly exited the Football League in the 2008-09 season but have risen from the foot of the League Two to the Premier League in the space of five seasons.

Ritchie has played an integral part since joining Bournemouth in 2013, scoring 23 goals in 90 appearances for the South Coast club.
