Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp says that reserve goalkeeper Mitch Langerak is more than just "a beach boy from Australia".

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has said that he is happy with his goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.

Roman Weidenfeller is the number one at the Westfalenstadion, but the 33-year-old's long-term replacement is seen as reserve keeper Mitch Langerak.

Klopp has backed the Australian to make the step up into the first team should Weidenfeller suffer any injury problems.

"You think you are getting a beach boy from Australia, but what you actually get is an unbelievable hard worker," Klopp told FIFA.com.

"Mitch is a very competitive character. Goalkeeper is one position which we can react without problems when there are any injuries."

Langerak has not tasted defeat in any of his 10 appearances for the club.
