Half-Time Report: Borussia Dortmund ahead through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Borussia Dortmund lead Eintracht Braunschweig 1-0 through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal.

Visiting Borussia Dortmund lead Bundesliga basement club Eintracht Braunschweig 1-0 at half time through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal.

Jurgen Klopp's side struggled to show their class in the opening half-an-hour, against a side that have lost the most games in the German top division this term.

The only notable effort on goal that they registered came from Sven Bender, who was found unmarked at the back post from Marco Reus's free kick, but Deniz Dogan blocked his shot behind for a corner.

Suddenly Dortmund upped the gears, with Nuri Sahin having a set piece saved by Braunschweig keeper Daniel Davari before a great team move saw them break the deadlock on 32 minutes.

Interplay on the edge of the box between strike pair Robert Lewandowski and Aubameyang eventually resulted in the Gabon striker running onto a clip over the home defence to head into the net.

The same combination thought that they had doubled Dortmund's advantage moments prior to the interval when Lewandowski's layoff allowed Aubameyang to fire home, only for the offside flag to be raised.
