Bolton boss Owen Coyle reveals that he is willing to let his under-performing senior players leave in January.

Under-pressure Bolton manager Owen Coyle has warned his senior players that he is prepared to let them leave in January.

The Trotters have suffered a miserable season thus far and currently sit second from bottom in the Premier League table.

Coyle faces losing Gary Cahill in the upcoming transfer window and has revealed that he is willing to let other under-performing senior player follow him out of the club.

"We still have players who should be performing better than they are," said Coyle.

"I am not talking about young kids but course and distance guys who have done it.

"Maybe there are one or two not up to delivering and, if that's the case, they are not going to play in our team, that's for sure."

Bolton lost 2-0 to Newcastle United at the Reebok Stadium yesterday and next host Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year's Eve.
