Blackpool release 17 players

Blackpool release 17 players following their relegation from the Championship.

Blackpool have announced that 17 players have been released by the club ahead of next season.

The Seasiders endured a difficult 2014-15 campaign in the Championship, culminating in their return to League One.

Peter Clarke, David Perkins, Nathan Delfouneso and Steven Davies are among those who have left Bloomfield Road.

Andre Blackman, Tomasz Cywka, Joel Dielna, Bobby Grant, Gary MacKenzie, Tony McMahon and Jacob Mellis have also departed the club.

Nyron Nosworthy, Darren O'Dea, Elliot Parish, Jeffrey Rentmeister, Saer Sene and Francois Zoko complete the list of players who have been shown the door.

Jamie O'Hara and Tom Barkhuizen have both been offered new contracts, while the club have taken up options on Jose Miguel Cubero, Andrea Orlandi and Nile Ranger.
