Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has revealed that he is under no pressure to sell top goalscorer Jordan Rhodes or club captain Scott Dann in the January transfer window.
Reports have linked Dann with Crystal Palace, while Rhodes is said to be on the radar on many Premier League clubs, but Bowyer has said that the Blackburn board have not told him the club must sell.
"The owners want to reduce the wage bill but they are very supportive of signings we are bringing in," Bowyer told The Telegraph.
"They are ambitious. They would love the club back in the Premier League. They understand a lot more now that it is going to take some time. Step by step."
Rhodes has been left on the bench for Blackburn's FA Cup clash with Manchester City, which you can follow with Sports Mole's live minute-by-minute text commentary here.
