Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Huddersfield Town

Sports Mole previews Huddersfield Town's trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

Huddersfield Town will be looking for their third win in a row when they take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in the Championship this weekend.

Chris Powell's side made it back-to-back wins when they came away with a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux earlier this week, leaving them 18th in the table.

There are no new injury concerns for the visitors, although Nakhi Wells could come back into the starting lineup after being rested for the trip to Wolves.

Meanwhile, Blackburn are without a win in their last two outings, resulting in them slipping to 11th in the table.

Championship newcomers Rotherham United inflicted a fourth defeat of the season on Blackburn when they met at the New York Stadium earlier this week.

The hosts could be without striker Rudy Gestede for the visit of Huddersfield after he picked up a hamstring injury against the Millers, while Chris Brown, David Dunn, Jason Lowe and Paul Robinson will all miss out through injury.

Gary Bowyer is optimistic that Tom Cairney will be ready to return, but Corry Evans will be missing after he picked up his fifth booking at the season.

When the two sides met at Ewood Park in the Championship last season, the teams shared a goalless draw.
