Half-Time Report: Lewis Grabban cancels out Tom Cairney strike at Carrow Road

Tom Cairney's early strike is cancelled out by Lewis Grabban as Blackburn Rovers head in at the break level with Norwich City.

Lewis Grabban ensured that Norwich City are level at 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers at the halfway stage of their Championship meeting.

Blackburn made a fast start at Carrow Road, and were rewarded with a goal inside the opening minute when Tom Cairney allowed a flick-on to bounce before firing the ball into the top corner from 25 yards.

The hosts were caused a number of problems after falling behind, but could have been level had Nathan Redmond's effort found its way past Paul Robinson, who raced off his line to deny the winger.

Norwich continued to respond well as the end-to-end nature of the contest created chances for both sides, with Alexander Tettey striking the post when Robinson looked beaten.

Jason Lowe gifted a route back to level terms for Norwich when he was adjudged to have used his hand to prevent a cross from reaching the danger zone, and Grabban stepped up to score the equaliser at the second time of asking after Robinson blocked his penalty.

Redmond was proving to be a productive source of creativity for Norwich, but he was once again denied a goal when a drilled effort from the edge of the box was pushed past the post by Robinson.
