Norwich City put three past Watford

Norwich City secure a 3-0 Championship victory over 10-man Watford thanks to goals from Bradley Johnson, Lewis Grabban and Alexander Tettey.

Goals from Bradley Johnson, Lewis Grabban and Alexander Tettey have helped Norwich City secure a 3-0 victory over 10-man Watford this afternoon.

An explosive start to the match saw Joel Ekstrand sent off for an elbow on Nathan Redmond just two minutes into the game.

Referee Paul Tierney then had to step in following an altercation between Redmond and Watford wing-back Daniel Pudil.

Redmond was heavily involved throughout the half and dragged a free kick just wide before coming close from long range as the hosts looked to make their man advantage count.

After a spell of sustained Norwich pressure, Johnson was eventually the man to get the goal, curling home with his left foot from outside the box.

Redmond continued to terrorise the visitors after the break as his shot was blocked by an increasingly desperate Watford defense.

Lloyd Dyer had Watford's best chance of the game on the cusp of the break, but he could only shoot at John Ruddy after being found unmarked by Matej Vydra.

Watford were made to rue the missed chance as a quickfire double from Norwich took the game away from them.

First, Grabban produced a composed finish from outside the box before Tettey drilled home from 25 yards to secure the points.
