Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean will make one last effort to persuade Junior Hoilett to stay at Ewood Park.
Hoilett is out of contract this summer and is expected to leave Rovers after impressing a number of clubs with his form this season. Kean wants to keep the Canadian at the club but admits that the side's relegation and European interest in the player could prove too much competition for his signature.
"I don't think it is going to be just clubs in this country," said Kean.
"I'm told that there is interest from abroad. I can understand why because he has had some great performances, not only this season, but the past couple of seasons.
"We'll make a last-ditch effort to put something in front of him. You never know."
Rovers finished their campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Chelsea.
