Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has admitted to being left frustrated following his side's 3-2 defeat against Brentford at Ewood Park this evening.
The hosts twice took the lead in the topsy-turvy Championship affair, although second-half goals from Jota and Andre Gray helped the Bees keep their playoff hopes intact.
Rovers squandered further chances to take at least a point from the game, and in the end some poor defensive work cost them dearly.
"It is massively frustrating," Bowyer told Radio Rovers. "To have scored two goals and not get anything out of the game is hugely disappointing. I thought the lads showed a tremendous effort bearing in mind we are down to bare bones, but the lads dug deep and had a right good go.
"But if you look at the goals we've conceded they are three poor goals, it is as simple as that. The nature of all three goals are poor, they are all preventable.
"The overriding factor tonight is that we've gifted them three goals and we can't do that. You saw what a good team they were in possession but we can't be giving goals away like that."
Blackburn are now 10th in the Championship table, 11 points off a playoff place with just eight games of the season left to play.
