Benfica will rival Premier League clubs for the signature of Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

Benfica have reportedly entered the race to sign Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

A number of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in the Ivorian international, who admitted to talks with a club in London and Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

However, talkSPORT reports that the Portuguese outfit have now declared their interest in the 24-year-old, who enjoyed an incredible season in the Eredivisie, notching 31 goals in 24 league matches.

Bony arrived in Holland from Sparta Prague in 2011.
