Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart.

Bayer Leverkusen are three points off first place in the Bundesliga table before Saturday's gameweek seven meeting with third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt at the BayArena.

Xabi Alonso's men enter this weekend's match after consecutive draws and host an opponent that have avoided losing in five top-flight fixtures.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 2-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Although Frankfurt have lost three on the trot against Leverkusen since that 5-1 thrashing of Alonso's men in October 2022, the defending champions' defensive struggles on home soil and potential Wirtz absence give Die Adler a chance this weekend.

This game has typically produced goals, and another goal-laden encounter is anticipated on Saturday, with the away side backed to nick a point at the BayArena.

Hoffenheim vs. VfL Bochum (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Struggling Hoffenheim and VfL Bochum are separated by two places in the Bundesliga table heading into Saturday's gameweek seven meeting at PreZero Arena.

Only one victory has been secured from a combined 12 played by both clubs, with the bottom-placed visitors winless heading into the campaign's seventh round.

We say: Hoffenheim 2-1 VfL Bochum

With both Hoffenheim and Bochum conceding a significant number of goals this season (16 and 14, respectively) and considering their previous five encounters have seen both sides score, expect an open and entertaining match with goals at both ends.

The hosts seemed to be turning their bad start around before the hiatus and are backed to nick maximum points at the expense of the winless bottom Bundesliga team.

Freiburg vs. Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Freiburg could end gameweek seven atop the Bundesliga table after hosting 13th-placed Augsburg at Europa-Park-Stadion on Saturday.

The fourth-placed hosts are only two points shy of joint-leaders Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig and aim to record their fifth triumph of the 2024-25 season against an opponent that have so far struggled on their travels.

We say: Freiburg 2-1 Augsburg

Even though Augsburg have fired blanks in both 4-0 road losses this season, they are backed to find the back of the net this weekend. However, Freiburg should nick Saturday's result to continue their strong start and extend their winning record against gameweek seven's opponents on home turf.

Mainz vs. RB Leipzig (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Mainz 05 welcome an undefeated RB Leipzig to Mewa Arena in gameweek seven, seeking to halt the progress of a side looking to become standalone leaders atop the Bundesliga table after Saturday's match.

The Red Bulls' consecutive triumphs before the international break saw them keep pace with Bayern Munich on 14 points after six rounds, and the visitors aim for three wins on the trot against a side without a home victory this term.

We say: Mainz 05 0-1 RB Leipzig

Leipzig's impressive defensive record, with five clean sheets in six matches, makes them strong favourites to continue their unbeaten run and extend their commendable Bundesliga streak to 18 games without a loss.

Borussia M'bach vs. Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

With the international break now behind us, Bundesliga action is set to resume this weekend, and on Saturday afternoon we will see Borussia Monchengladbach play host to FC Heidenheim.

The hosts return to the league with just six points earned in as many matches and in 14th place in the standings, while the visitors have taken nine points over the same period and are ninth.

We say: Borussia Monchengladbach 2-2 Heidenheim

While M'gladbach have only won one of their three home games this season, it is worth noting that the defeats they conceded were against Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart, and they more than held their own in both those matches.

Still, Heidenheim have done their best work on the road this season, losing only once in five outings across all competitions, and we feel they will be able to get something from this one as well.

Bayern vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 5.30pm)

The headline fixture in gameweek seven of the Bundesliga this weekend will come from the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening, when Bayern Munich will lock horns with Stuttgart.

Bayern went into the international break holding pole position in the league standings with 14 points after the first six matches, while Stuttgart are in eighth place with nine points so far.

We say: Bayern Munich 2-1 Stuttgart

After three consecutive matches without a victory, the international break may have come at just the right time for Bayern, who will know that getting a result here will be crucial to helping them rebuild some much-needed momentum ahead of their trip to Camp Nou in midweek.

While Stuttgart are likely to pose a significant challenge, their away form has not been great during the early season, and we feel that the Bavarians will be able to edge them to the three points in this one.
