Pep Guardiola: 'We wasted opportunities'

Pep Guardiola believes that Bayern Munich created enough chances to extend their winning run against a stubborn Eintracht Frankfurt defence on Friday night.

Pep Guardiola has claimed that Bayern Munich were guilty of being wasteful in front of goal as their winning run in the Bundesliga came to an end against Eintracht Frankfurt.

A resilient performance from the Frankfurt defence stopped Bayern from securing an 11th successive win as Guardiola's side were forced to settle for a goalless draw, and the Spaniard admitted that it was disappointing to see his side struggle in attacking areas.

"Of course, the opponent can play as they please," he told reporters. "They defended very well with depth, because we had less space.

"I think we had enough chances to win the game. A big compliment to my team and for having tried everything."

Bayern return to action against Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday.
