Oliver Bierhoff has said that he approves of Bayern Munich's new transfer policy of buying young stars.
Bayern recently signed 23-year-old Javi Martinez from Athletic Bilbao, and the
German has applauded the change in recruitment attitude from the Bavarians.
"I like it how Bayern Munich are no longer chasing 30-year-olds who are no longer needed by their clubs, but, instead are going for players who have bright futures," Said Bierhoff.
"You hear only good things about [Martinez]. I hope the deal works out."
Martinez signed for Bayern after a €40m (£33m) bid triggered a clause in the midfielder's contract.
