Preview: Bayern Munich vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole looks ahead to Manchester City's trip to the Allianz Arena to face defending champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich and Manchester City will battle it out for first place in Group D at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on Tuesday, with both already through to the knockout stages.

The defending champions currently lead the group by three points and will finish top as long as they are not beaten by more than two goals.

Since the German giants' last outing in this competition, winger Arjen Robben has picked up a knee injury that will keep him out of action until the New Year.

Having lost 3-1 to Bayern earlier in the campaign, Manuel Pellegrini's side will need to beat their hosts by a greater margin if they are to finish first in the group.

David Silva is expected to be available after recovering from the calf injury that has kept him on the sidelines for the last four weeks.

On their six previous visits to Germany, City have won just once and lost on four occasions.
